Our Hand Made Farmhouse doors can be manufactured to achieve stringent fire ratings. Unlike traditional fire doors, ours are aesthetically the same as our hand made farmhouse doors, and therefore, remain sympathetic to your project.
Combine this with our hand made frames or oak linings, which can be manufactured with integral intumescing strips to satisfy even the most demanding of fire protection applications.
Unlike many copies, our fire doors are manufactured with materials that have been extensively tested and are certified to give fire protection of 20 minutes, 30 minutes or up to 60 minutes, in accordance with FD fire ratings.
Our fire doors are accepted by local authorities conforming with their stringent requirements, so please beware of unscrupulous replicas which will only give you major problems when trying to prove fire protection to building control.
Our fire doors are assembled with Thixotropic Intumescing glue to ledgers & Tongue & Groove edges. The ledgers are screwed individually to each plank giving the security required for FD ratings. The Intumescent Top Coat is supplied with the doors for application in situ with full instructions for application to achieve the fire rating required.
Please be aware of spurious imitations, this most certainly will cause you problems.
Due to copyright and security over our fire protection systems the certification and exact process is not published but is available upon personal request from our office, along with letters of acceptance of our fire products from Local Authority building control officers.
