Dave and Mandy
Dave & Mandy

Our presentation briefly tells through music and chat how I got to be in show business - experienced disappointment and heartache, met with Jesus, and came to partake of His life changing miracles.
'Dave & Mandy' are available for Christian-oriented events ranging from evangelistic outreach concerts, to after dinner song and chat.
This ministry began in mid-1998, since when we have appeared at venues across mainland UK and Northern Ireland plus a one-off in Canada, and also guested on radio and TV.

Our set is an unabashed promotion of the gospel through music and personal testimony. We use original songs (plus Rock & Roll) to develop our story. The format is very relaxed with chat between each song, lasting between 45 mins and 1½ hours as required.

Promo blurb and fotos:
Information and photographs from the biog page may be reprinted in publicity material. To download a picture, right click on it, and then choose the option 'Save Picture As' to save it on your computer. (Please ensure any foto accreditations are maintained)
Publicity & Ads:
Details of upcoming appearances are published on the News page of our internet site. If you have a contact number we can publish it for anyone seeking more details. In media advertisements, it is correct to use the phrase "former ELO guitarist", but "ELO star" is unhelpful! To avoid misunderstanding, any promotional text must not lend greater weight to the words 'Electric Light Orchestra' or 'ELO, as to the words 'Dave and Mandy'.
Technical:
We do not normally bring public address (PA) equipment with us, but use the system in place. We can if needed arrange PA equipment (or extra mics etc) but please let us know.
We require:
2 Mics on boom stands, 2 input sockets (or DI's) - one for guitar, one for on-stage Mini-Disk.
(Please let us know if your equipment does not accept Standard Jack plugs).
Lighting:  At your discretion, but we would ask that any house lighting is NOT dimmed between songs so that we can maintain audience contact.
Sound Engineer notes:
Be aware the performance includes dynamic extremes (loud and very quiet); This is deliberate, please do not compensate. Mics should be left ON throughout while Dave & Mandy are on stage. The foldback mix ideally should be a copy of the house speakers to enable us to self-monitor vocal balance against backing tracks.
Introductions:
We prefer to have someone introduce us rather than do it ourselves.
CD sales:
We would ask for the opportunity to set up a sales table to sell CDs after the performance. If the event is part of a church service, we prefer the sales table to be outside the sanctuary. Also, if there is someone on hand to help look after the sales table while we are speaking to people, this is really helpful.
Content:
Dave's original songs and music style is best illustrated by listening to the  CALL - LONG WAY HOME or  ANGEL LIGHT CDs. Songs from these presently used in our set are: PSALM 139, STAINS OF YESTERDAY, ALL FOR LOVE, RISE AND STAND, RUNAWAY, THIS IS MY PRAYER, ANGEL LIGHT, YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT. (some songs are performed with backing tracks).
Along with inspirational songs we develop our story using rock-n-roll and 'pop' songs. You may be sensitive to the possibility of this being unsuitable for your audience. If you are uncertain about it, we would recommend you seek the opinion of someone you know who has seen us, before arranging a concert.
