From Monday 17th to Friday
the 28th we stay with Miti and Paula in Nuoro, Sardinia.
During our stay we make two attempts to drive to Alghero (on
the north-west coast) in Miti's Volkswagen Polo. The first
time the car makes strange noises and smells! The second
time it breaks down completely in the middle of nowhere. In
the distance we see a small town and manage to limp to it
and immediately come upon a 'servisio' (garage) run by
Antonello. The car takes all day to be fixed (broken fan
belt and seized pulley) but Anotonello looks after us
royally: He loans us his nice Lancia car to drive around
nearby Bolotana and up the nearby mountain. We ended up
